At Qubit, we take advantage of our accurate physics-based engine for molecular simulations. When combined with state-of-the-art machine learning techniques (Deep Learning, Evolutionary optimization, Gradient Boosting), we can develop an effective hybrid pipeline for chemical space exploration.
Data Science professionals at Qubit have access to the Atlas platform to deploy their tools, run expensive calculations, and models training at scale. Moreover, Atlas allows Application Scientists at Qubit to access ML tools and predictors to give swift feedback to the data science group and Atlas developers.
As a Data Scientist, you will be in charge of designing and implementing machine learning models to exploit chemical and biological data and participate in the development of new drugs at Qubit Pharmaceuticals.
You will be part of the team in charge of ML-based drug design and generative modeling.
What you’ll be doing
- Analyze datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and insights that facilitate help in decision making (help guide the strategic planning, use existing data to forecast future performance, etc.)\
- Apply supervised and unsupervised machine learning methodology to learn insight from the data.
- Translate business requests into data analysis
- Check, clean and prepare data to compute and interpret KPIs’ variations and perform descriptive and statistical analysis
- Quantify uncertainty in your results and test your hypothesis
- Define, conduct and analyze randomized experiments (like A/B tests)
- Provide charts and graphics to describe the data for Business Analysts
- Build and maintain dashboards
- Document processes and make reproducible analysis so that other members of the organization understand how insights were gathered.
Skills and experiences we are looking for
Make things as simple and straightforward as possible. Design capabilities are at least as important as statistics and python scripting. Data visualization is also a simple yet very efficient way to valorize your work and make yourself understood by all.

Be strong in science:
You have a strong general mathematical background and more specifically in probability and statistics. You have significant experience in Python and its ML “world”. You are able to setup significant mathematical models and associated tests.
